Joy’s Banana Bread Recipe

For me, Joy’s Banana Bread is a delicious and tasty food to enjoy for breakfast or as a snack while enjoying the afternoon in a green and clean yard. It is even more delicious when combined with a cup of hot tea in the morning or ice tea in the afternoon, or with a cup of your favorite coffee.

Joy’s Banana Bread has a soft, melting texture from the banana ingredients used. If the banana is perfectly ripe, the taste will be even sweeter and more delicious. Moreover, there is the addition of chocolate with a light caramel aroma. For a more delicious sensation, we usually add ingredients such as nuts, chocolate chips, and raisins, this is certainly very enjoyable for us when gathering in the afternoon in our green yard.

This is our favorite recipe besides the bacon and steak biscuits recipe that we shared yesterday. Anyway, this food is very appetizing. With this dish, we don’t feel the time passing so quickly and the night greets us. You can try this recipe once in a while, especially when gathering with your extended family.

Joy’s Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Ripe bananas: 3 large (mashed)
  • All-purpose flour: 2 cups (250 g)
  • Brown sugar: ¾ cup (150 g)
  • Butter: ½ cup (115 g), melted
  • Eggs: 2 (large)
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Baking soda: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Chopped nuts or chocolate chips: ½ cup (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper or butter. We used parchment paper that we had in the kitchen cupboard.

Step 2:

In a large bowl, mash ripe bananas with a fork (if you use perfectly ripe bananas, then the job is much easier). Then, add melted butter and stir until smooth.

Step 3:

Then, beat together ingredients such as eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Once smooth, add to the banana mixture.

Step 4:

At this stage, you mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl separately. Add to the wet ingredients slowly while stirring until well combined. But remember, do not overmix.

Step 5:

Add nuts or chocolate chips if you want, we prefer to use them if we are making for children. But if we are making it for our own consumption, usually this is not used to reduce fat or oil and reduce sweetness. Then, pour the batter into the pan.

Step 6:

Bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (as a sign that the dish is ready).

Step 7:

Joy’s Banana Bread is ready, and cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
